Show BASIN BRIEFS of Vista, California, are visiting visit-ing here with Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Labrum. Mrs. Hadlock is Mrs. Labrum's sister. Mrs. Eddie Weeks, Cyril and Clifford Johnson, of San Francisco, Fran-cisco, spent Mother's Day with their mother, Mrs. Sarah Johnson. John-son. N Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lunt and children, of Vernal, motored to Roosevelt Saturday to be with Mrs. Lunt's parents, Mr, and Mrs. Ray E. Dillman, on Mother's Day. Also home for the weekend were Mary and Dorothy Dillman. They returned to Salt Lake and Logan on Monday. M. J. Hunt, of Vernal, has Just completed the drilling of a water well on the Kastrlnakis ranch in Lapoint. He will drill several other wells in this vicinity. Mrs. Andy Norling returned, Monday, to her home in Vallejo, California, after a short visit in Roosevelt with Mr. Norling, who is supervising the construction of the E. F. and Mary Harmston Building, and with her brothers and sisters-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Helphrey, of Ft. Duchesne, left last week on a vacation trip to Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jenkins, of Bluebell, announce the marriage of their daughter. Ruby, to Lt. Ottls K. Buckalew. The cere-monv cere-monv was performed AdHI 30 at Reno, Nevada. The new Mrs. Buckalew is a graduate of Altamont high school and since 1945 has been employe em-ploye by the Federal government, govern-ment, stationed at Guam. Mr. and Mrs. Buckalew will make their home at Mather Field, California. B. A. March will leave Friday. May 20, for Chicago, where he will enroll at the DeForest Training? Train-ing? school to take a year's specialty spec-ialty work In radio, television and frequency modulation. During his absence. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Gleaton, of Price, visited over the weekend with relatives in Roosevelt and Neola. Wyo., spent the weekend with friends and relatives In Roosevelt. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Smith and son, of North Dakota, visited over the weekend with friends in Roosevelt. Mr. Smith was formerly form-erly stationed at Roosevelt as chief-of-party for Carter Oil Co. A meeting of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers will be held Friday, Fri-day, May 27, at 3 p. m. at, the home of Sarah Goodrich. Mrs. Kelly Sprouse entertained six members of the Socialette club at the Evan Olsen residence on May 5. A delicious salad course luncheon was featured. Mrs. Harold Dillman spent the weekend in Provo with her brother and sister-in-law, R?v. and Mrs. Nolan Beaird. and family. fam-ily. Word has been received that Ruth Annin, wife of Floyd An-nin, An-nin, died May 1 1 at her home in Decatur, 111. Taken ill while living liv-ing in Roosevelt, Mrs. Annin was taken to Decatur the latter part of April. Funeral services were conducted at Decatur on May 13. Mr. Annin is an employee of Carter Oil company stationed at the well near Leeton. Members of Neighborhood Sewing club met May 1 1 at the home of Mrs. Floyd Labrum.
