Show BASIN BRIEFS j Mrs. Mary Beecroft and Mrs. Czar Rudy recently returned from a week's trip to Twin Falls, Idaho, where they attended the wedding of their niece, Eleanor Straughn; Engagement Announced Mr. and Mrs. James O. Ames, of Ioka, announce the marriage of their daughter, Reita, to Norman Nor-man C. Workman. The marriage took place July 30 at Green River, Wyoming, where the young couple will make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Allen, of Pleasant Valley, have just returned to Roosevelt with a new Oldsmobile sedan. Gordon and Cam Harmston moved into their new home this week. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Roberts and their son, Richard, returned, Monday, from a two week's trip to points on the Pacific Coast. They visited in Vancouver, British Columbia, Seattle, Washington, Wash-ington, in Oregon and at San Francisco during their trip. John Baumgaertel, justice of the peace for the Roosevelt precinct pre-cinct left Saturday, April 10, for Philadelphia, Penn., where he will visit with a sister he has not seen in a number of years. Mr. Baumgaertel will return to Roosevelt about September 1. Reunion of Miles Sisters The seven Miles sisters: Mrs. Donna Burges of Durham, North Carolina; Mrs. Homer P. Edwards, Ed-wards, Mrs, Jess R. Allen (Dr. L. Miles) and Mrs. Ray E. Dillman, of Roosevelt; Mrs. Edmond P. Evans, of Salt Lake City; Mrs. H. R. Hatch, of Idaho Falls and Mrs. W. L. Sutherland, of Rex-burg, Rex-burg, left Monday for a trip to Yellowstone National Park where they plan a reunion at Doctor Sutherland's summer cabin near Max's Inn. The trip will revive old memories since these sisters during their girlhood girl-hood days made the trip overland over-land by wagon and saddle horses with their parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. William A. Miles. Mrs. Parley Rawlings and two boys returned Sunday from a week's visit in Bingham Canyon. Mrs. Effie Winn was called home from Idaho by the serious illness of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Dean. Mrs. Dean is somewhat some-what improved after being operated op-erated on a week ago, and Mrs. Winn plans soon to go to Oregon to spend the winter. Mrs. Helen Tomany and son, Michael, returned last week to their home in Long Beach, California, Cali-fornia, after a three weeks visit at the home of her aunt. Mrs. Harold Gardner.
