Littizzite, of LaJalla, California; Mrs, Snyder's sister-in-law, Mrs. Frank Hill and son Obort, of Provo; Mrs. Junior Potts, of Upalco, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Snyder of Spring-ville. Spring-ville. Mrs. Florence Mohlman and Mrs. Florence Jessen were hostesses hos-tesses to a bridal shower Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon in honor of Mrs. Delores Drollinger who will become the bride of Morris Mon-sen. Mon-sen. Mrs. Drollinger taught the three upper grades in ele-mentary ele-mentary school last year. Those present were the girls from her classes and their mothers. The i afternoon was spent in playing (table games. Many nice presents I were received by the guest of honor. Mrs. Victor Kofford left Monday Mon-day to visit her husband in the L. D. S. hospital in Salt Lake. It is thought Mr. Kofford is improving im-proving slowly. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hamburg, of Mt. Emmons, were Altonah ; visitors Tuesday. J Mrs. LeRoy Barker and daughter, daugh-ter, of Upalco, visited with Mrs. Barker's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Les Shiner, on Thursday. Mrs. Johnson, of Salt Lake City, visited her sister, Mrs. Mary Bowden, a few days last week. Mrs. Dora Berd, of Salt Lake! City, came to Altonah Tuesday i to take her baby daughter to I j Salt Lake for medical care. I Warren Beebe, who has been i in the Roosevelt hospital for 10 j ; days, was able to be brought .home Wednesday. He is improv-I improv-I ing, but will not be able to get ' around for some time yet. A farewell party was given in the ward hall Wednesday night for Mr. and Mrs. Jokn Powell. A program, dancing 3hd refreshments refresh-ments were enjoyed by a large crowd. Thursday Mr. and Mrs. John PoweU left to make their home in Preston, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Les Shiner received re-ceived medical treatment in Roosevelt Tuesday. They were also transacting business in Duchesne Du-chesne the same day. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Jessen and William Jessen, of Boneta, were Altonah visitors uesday. Mr. and Mrs. Coral Malr announce an-nounce the arrival of a 5-lb. baby girl, born August 10. Mother and baby are getting along nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Minchey and family left for Huntington Friday. They are looking for a house to move into and are planning plan-ning to leave Altonah in the near future. j O. D. Mohlman, of Salt Lake City, spent a few days visiting ! at the home of his parents, Mr. . and Mrs. E. M. Mohlman. He also al-so visited with his brother, Bishop Bish-op Glen Mohlman and family. Mrs. Mary Bowden accompan- , ied Mr. and Mrs. Charley Bow- Iden of the Big Bonanza Mine, on a trip to Randolph, Utah, Friday. Mrs. Johnson, a sister of Mrs. Bowden, returned with them after spending a few days visiting in Altonah. Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Johanson, son Donald, and daughter Beverly, Bev-erly, of Logan, were guests at the home of Mr. Johanson's sister, sis-ter, Mrs. William Young. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Bowthrope, of Holliday, Utah, spent several days visiting at the hom nf Bishop and Mrs. Glen Mohlman. Mohl-man. They also enjoyed a fishing fish-ing trip while here. Mrs. Bowthrope Bow-thrope and Mrs. Mohlman are sisters. |
