Show Myton City Jews Section Wing-Wealherby Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Wing announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter, Betty June Wing, to Private Melvin J. Weatherby of Beverly, Illinois. They were married August 14 In San Francisco. Fran-cisco. Home on Furlough Fireman 1-c Billic Preece, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Preece came home on furlough Sunday. He has been on the Pacific and seen action at Saipan and Marshall Mar-shall islands. MIA Organized The following MIA officers were sustained Sunday: Young Ladies' officers, Mrs, Edith Col-ton, Col-ton, president; Mrs. Virginia Smith, 1st counselor; Mrs. Virginia Vir-ginia Roberts, 2nd counselor; Mrs. Alice Howell, secretary; Mrs. Sarah Nielson, Era Director; Direc-tor; Mrs. Anna Murry, drama director. Young Men officers are, Syerl Dennis, president; 1st counselor, Merrill Lisonbee; 2nd y counselor, Devere Dennis; secretary, sec-retary, Keith Peterson. They had an out-door social Tuesday evening on the air port grounds. Home on Furlough Corporal Orvil Dart, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Dart came home Saturday night. He graduated from class 44-H Pilot, September Septem-ber 9 at Chandler, Arizona. He has been in Italy. Miss LaTella Rolley of Salt Lake City was visiting last week with Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Blaine, Jr. Miss Louise Frizell of California Cali-fornia is visiting at the O. A. Dart residence this week. Louise has been working at Albuquerque, Albuquer-que, New Mexico, Mrs. Tom Rogers of Salt Lake City is visiting friends and staying stay-ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mat Uresk. Mr. and Mrs. Acel Bingham and son, Dick came home last Thursday. Mr. Bingham has been working at Layton and Provo for two years. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Sims and two sons of Salt Lake City came to visit Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Todd and Alice Todd last Thursday and went home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Feltcr were visiting folks here Sunday. Mrs. Ed Thompson and baby, and Miss Lila Mae Taylor came home from American Fork. Mrs. Thompson left the baby and went back Sunday to work at fieneva Dlant in Provo. Miss Alice Todd was visiting Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Fcrron in Roosevelt Thursday evening. District President Mrs. Grace Dalgliesh went to Price Thursday Thurs-day to install the Price Unit American Am-erican auxiliary. Mrs. C. R. Whitehead of Salt Lake City visited her sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Hunt over the week end. Mrs. Nora Montgomery of Salt Lake City came in Sunday to be with her son, Donnie, while he has his tonsils removed. District President, Mrs. Grace Dalgleish installed the Myton Unit American auxiliary Saturday Satur-day night. President, Gladys Harris; 1st vice-president, Ann Anderle; 2nd vice-president, Iva Monks; secretary and treasurer, Mrs. Otto Hemphill; chaplain, Mrs. Jennie Tuttle; Historian, Alice Todd; Sergeant-at-arms, Naoma Babcock. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Porritt were visiting Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Lon Young. Mr. and Mrs. James Dalgleish were in Duchesne Sunday on business. While there they visited visit-ed Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hart. Miss Nina Behunin and Erma Babcock went to Salt Lake Cityi Sunday with Roland Krebs. The girls are going to find employment employ-ment there. |
