Show Daggett County To Issue 300 Doe Permits Deer Hunt to be Held During Regular Season, October 21-31 At a meeting of the state fish and game commission in Salt Lake recently it was decided that a special doe hunt would be granted in Daggett county in the Ashley National forest this year. A total of 300 permits will be issued is-sued for the hunt, which will be held from October 21 to 31, during dur-ing the regular big game hunting hunt-ing season. This is an increase of 100 over last year, the first doe hunt to be held in this area. Elk Hunt An elk hunt will be held from November 11 to 21 in Daggett county fcr wihch 15 permits for bull elk will be issued. Last year ten permits were allotted, buck Hunt The annual duck hunt will open op-en this year on October 14 and extend for 80 days, until December De-cember 31. I Pheasant Hunt Pheasant hunting will be permitted per-mitted in Duchesne and Uintah counties November 4, 5 and 6 with a limit of three male birds per day. He has been stationed at New Guinea. 'to m GRADUATES FROM NAVAL AIR TRAINING Jack R. Gillet graduated from the Naval Air Technical Training Train-ing center at Norman, Oklahoma last month as Seamon first class, u ith snecial training in aviation ordnance. He will now be transferred trans-ferred to a naval unit afloat or to another short station for further fur-ther instruction and work. Jack Gillett of Roosevelt graduated grad-uated from Lehi High school and worked for the Hercules Power Co. as powder man. His father, H. J. Gillet resides in Midvale, but his wife, Lois, is a resident of Roosevelt. WW; Joins Service Katherinee Thcrese Wogec, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Wogec of Roosevelt was enrolled recently at the Naval Training school (Yeomen-W) on the Iowa Slate Teachers college campus, Cedar Falls, Iowa. This member of the Women's Reserve was selected for her specialty training train-ing on the basis of her recruit training aptitude tests and past civilian experience. The course of yeomen study includes shorthand, short-hand, typing, Naval correspondence, correspond-ence, records and forms, and current . events. Successful completion com-pletion of the course makes this Wave eligible for a petty officer rate before receiving further duty orders within the continental contin-ental limits of the United States, |
