Show Water Planning Committee To Be Organized City Council Decide To Complete Water Improvement District Roosevelt city council, in its regular meeting which was postponed post-poned from Monday to Wednesday, Wednes-day, discussed plans for future water development and received a report on deep well pumping test recently made. Planning Committee It was decided to organize and put into motion a permanent water planning committee to work in coordination with the council. This committee will consist con-sist of at least three citizens and one or two councilmen, with the full cooperation of the entire city council. Plans should take in our immediate needs and also a post war development. V-Day Planning The city council will at its next regular meeting make plans for a "V-Day" holiday with appropriate programs and big parade celebrating the great event. Sewer District . Marden Broadbent and Dick Adams met with the council and presented a petition and a pencil pen-cil sketch of a sewer district to cover the section of the city known as the Flats. There were 45 property owners names signed sign-ed to the petition making a unanimous request. The council authorized the city recorder to contact Engineer Richards and have the survey made, also to get estimates and prices on materials ma-terials in advancement of this project. |
