As he was installed President of the Kiwanis Club of Bountiful for 1985-86 at the Red Flame, Sanford Pierce underscored the importance of service to others and placed all members of the club on two committees: com-mittees: membership and programs. prog-rams. THEN HE invited members and their ladies to join him in serving the Bountiful area and to have fun while serving. "Sandy" served as president of the East Idaho Falls Kiwanis Club in 1976-77. He is fleet manager for an auto sales company. Also installed were James Fountain Foun-tain as first vice president and Jay Moffat as second vice president. Both are bank executives in Bountiful. Boun-tiful. Installed in their previous positions were Dave Welch, treasurer and John Reed Boothe, secretary. DIRECTORS for 1985-86 are Craie Baker, Erich Huber, Rich . Langford, Craig Tanner and immediate im-mediate past president Ronald Black. Retired from the Board of Directors were Carvel Shaffer and Dale Roe. Installation officer, representing Kiwanis International, was O. Ross Sanders, Lieutenant Governor Gov-ernor for Division Two. IMMEDIATE Past President Ronald Black reported that activities activi-ties centering on serving the community com-munity included: providing help for Christmas and Thanksgiving for local families; sponsorship of the Woods Cross High School Key Club; help with Special Olympics events and raising funds for a park improvement "still in the works." He said his administrative year was "a humbong experience, and a learning and growing experience." |
