Show MEADOW VILIE MITES our little town Is so quiet these days that I 1 cannot find anything to write about we have no sprucing people here now and no quarreling people either everyone seems to be looking to find himself arid noone no one else all the wild hay is stacked slacked and is a very good crop we had no rain to spoil it all through haying we commence cutting our second crop of lucein next week there are two binders at work cutting grain which will le ie avery a very good crop notwithstanding the squirrels depredations blackbirds are here by the millions and they are stripping the ripe grain shamefully mr F smith with his wife and family are here from salt lake city visiting their uncle and aunt henry and wife they return to the city this week after having baving had a good time catching fish and other sport all the good ladies of our town have met at mrs 31 kimballs Kim balls today to have a rag match I 1 venture to say that if I 1 could hear bear halt what is said at the bee I 1 could keep items in ane ROUNDUP ROUND UP for a year right sisters get together often for we cannot gather at religious meetings J S MOFFAT meadowville Meadow ville utah august 25 1897 |
