| Show SOCIAL WELFARE WORK STRESSED ht relief society and county officers discuss relief program mrs airs aaleen H hart of the general board of relief societies of the L D S church represented the general church authorities at the annual conference of the sev sevier i er stake relief society held here saturday evening and sunday beginning with a session of executive officers and stake board members saturday mrs estella poulson stake relief society president presided bishops of the various wards of the stake and the sevier county commissioners with whom the relief society cooperates in social welfare work were invited to attend the session for stake and ward relief society officers sunday morning the aim of social welfare work was the theme of a talk by mrs airs hart moroni jensen chairman of the board of county commissioners treated the subject from the point of view of county officials and a lively roundtable round table discussion followed plans for such activities are being given special attention this year I 1 in view of the fact that the unemployment situation gives evidence of a hard bard winter for many people in our own locality as well as for transients who call upon the relief society and the county and towns for aid the general public was invited to attend the sunday afternoon session for which the following pro program gram was arranged congregational gat ional singing prayer W A selection first ward relief society chorus directed by mrs A J bird greetings and report president estella poulson presentation of officers mrs airs sarah hansen talk religion mrs georgia ogden vocal solo give alms of thy goods mrs florence anderson talk making religion a vital force mrs aaleen H hart selection first ward chorus prayer |
