| Show SELECT MO HOE FOR MEET club women adopt progressive resolutions at convention the federated clubs of sanpete and sevier counties at their annual convention held anted wednesday at ephraim accepted the in invitation of the monroe club to hold next years convention at monroe accordingly officers of the federation were elected from the monroe club as follows reta brown president denti alta magleby first vice president eva joy jensen second vice president ruth jones corresponding secretary tina larsen recording secretary jennie reynolds treasurer genevieve Ti etien chorister hot hold over directors are mrs dillworth of manti and mrs al M A winters of mt alt pleasant new directors chosen are mrs olive white monroe mrs 0 S nelson salina and mrs lyman seeley fountain green the convention which was held at the snow college was attended by ago women representing eighteen clubs and aside froni from bu business si sessions a banquet featured the days program among the speakers of the day were mrs carrie H payne and lucille greenwood of the richfield study club mrs helen poulson of the richfield study club again delighted the convention visitors with a vocal solo A committee on resolutions lut ions consisting of mrs genevieve mrs winnie candland of mt bit pleasant and mrs will drown brown of manti formulated the following resolutions which were adopted unanimously by the federation first be it resolved that we appreciate the efforts put forth by the women of ephraim for the entertainment and hospitality of the clubs of this city and for the hearty welcome given us by the mayor of ephraim second that as members of the sanpete sevier district federation we pledge ourselves to uphold and sustain the officers of the state and national organizations and the worthy program offered third that we the federated clubs of sanpete and sevier sustain president hoover in his child welfare and better homes movement and make it a part of our program for the coming coining year fourth that we cooperate to make a bigger and better southern utah fifth that we assist in the anti tobacco movement sixth that we make our club reports in original club songs in instead of speeches during the luncheon hour seventh that we thank the outgoing i ng officers for the splendid en eo tain i n ment ent of the year the entire convention program was pleasingly arranged in addition to vocal selections music for the tb C convention was furnished by a band under direction of geo beal of ephraim miss bliss irene ence visited in salt lake city last week |
