He is the son of Carolyn Bean and Gilbert Gil-bert M. Bean. He will enter the MTC on July 28. Allen, son of Wayne L. and Virginia Allen, 161 N. Highway 89, Kaysville, has accepted a call to serve in the Canada Halifax Mission headquartered in Nova Scotia. HIS farewell will be held July 17 in the Fruit Heights 4th Ward, 201 S. 600 E., Kaysville at 1:10 p.m. He will enter the Mission Training Center July 27. Elder Allen is a graduate of Service High School, Anchorage, Alaska, where he also completed com-pleted the four year seminary program and served as first assistant to the bishop in his priesthood quorum. He has received re-ceived the Duty to God award and is an Eagle Scout. PAUL IS employed by the U.S. Forest Service last year before moving to Rexburg, Ida. to attend Ricks College. Anderson has been called to serve as an LDS missionary in the Brazil Recife Mission. He will enter the MTC July 21. S St t, :: Jp 1 ib - ELDER GRIFFIN Elder Mark Griffin will speak about his mission in Portugal Por-tugal in the Val Verda 10th Ward Sacrament meeting on July 17 which begins at 2:15 p.m. DURING THE past 18 months, Elder Griffin has served in Porta, Villa Nova de Gaia, Leira, the Island of Hor-ta Hor-ta in the Azores, and an area near Lisbon, Portugal. Mark graduated with high honors from Woods Cross High School in 1981 and attended a semester at Brigham Young University before be-fore leaving for his mission. MARK IS the son of Glen and Mary Ella Griffin and the brother of Gary (who is serving a mission near Corpus Christi in the San Antonio, Texas mission), mis-sion), Greg, Jill and Janelle Selover and Joan Watson. Friends of Mark and those of his family are invited to hear his mission report on Sunday. HIS FAREWELL will be held on Sunday, July 17 at 9 a.m. in the 31st Ward Chapel located at 585 E. Center Street, Bountiful. An open house will be held for him at his home at 161 N. 650 E., Bountiful on Saturday, July 16 from 7-10 p.m. or Sunday, Sun-day, July 17 following Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting. He will enter the MTC on July 21. ELDER Porter graduated from Viewmont High School in 1982 where he was active in sports. He graduated from Seminary and is an Eagle Scout.
