Show West Bountiful i By ALICE MITCHELL The 4th of July is over. There is much work to do, either to plan more vacations, So begin the task of canning fruits and vegetables for the winter to come. Strawbemes and rhubarb are at their best The worst part of the season is the fact that the weeds are at their best also. When one does some weeding, they grow right behind in his steps. Congratulations to Bruce and Janet Maw in the birth of their boy. They live in the Ban- gerter Duplex on 8th ,W. adjacent adja-cent to the home of Myrvel-dean Myrvel-dean Dangerfield. On the 23rd of July all people of the area are invited to attend the chuckwagon breakfast lor Handcart days. Welcome to the new Hatcn family who moved into the home at 246 N. 800 W. Also welcome to the Manner Jones family, who will reside at 720 N.500 W. Jean and Don Curtis celebrated cele-brated their wedding anniversary anniver-sary this past week. Eileen Jeppson announced that her daughter Alta received her mission call to the California Califor-nia Anaheim Mission. Alia leaves Sept. 1 from the 3rd Ward of the Great Falls East Stake in Montana. Eileen visited vi-sited with Alta recently. She was happy to attend the Card-ston Card-ston Temple in Canada. They traveled to Calgary and back through Lethbndge. Eileen returned re-turned on June 27. On July 10 there was a fireside fire-side at the home of Bruce and Elizabeth Moore. Joe Caldiero was the guest speaker. Kathy and Joel Olson's baby is improving after a stay in the hospital. Ruby Morris, of City Center trailer park, has also been hospitalized. hos-pitalized. Relief Society women of the 1st, 7th and 8th wards held "Christmas in July." There were special decorations, and music from Bountiful High.
