Show Bountiful City Standings All seven Bountiful City softball leagues have either just reached or past the halfway point in their seasons. Keep in mind these teams are fighting for a berth in the City toruna-ment toruna-ment to be held at the conclusion of all the leagues. The top four squads from each league are invited to the tournament. MONDAY, MUELLER Park. A good chase is developing in this league with Spafford in first with a 7-1 marie followed closely by Gandy (6-2), Rocky Mtn. Bank (5-3), Quicks (4-4) and Clark Buik (4-4). Also fighting for a berth are D&J's (3-5), Bountiful Police (2-6) and Paces (1-7). Monday, Rocket Park. Another great battle shaping up in this league with Perma Plate in the lead with a 6-1 mark but right behind them are CBQ and New Venture both at 5-2. Budweiser Bud-weiser is still in the hunt at 4-3 as are Hosking and Parts House with identical 3-4 marks. Bullocks Bul-locks and CWA round out the league with Bullocks Bul-locks at 2-5 and CWA at 0-7. TUESDAY NIGHT. North Seas and the 5th Amendment are on a collision course with both sides sporting 9-0 records. Harding and Whitney Whit-ney are next with a 7-3 mark followed by Eaton-Kenway (6-4), Codale (2-7), Codale no. 2 (2-7), Constant Aire (2-8) and Phillips Petroleum Pet-roleum (1-9). Thursday night. Plumbers Supply seem headed to another championship with their 8-0 record but then the battle begins. San Juan Pools is next at 5-2 followed by Darrells Chevron Chev-ron (5-3), Pro Mark (4-3), American (4-4), Crossroads (2-6), Idea Center (2-6) and Avery Construction (1-71 FRIDAY NIGHT. This is probably the best balanced league in the group with five teams all within one game of each other. Bountiful Merchants Mer-chants has a 5-1 record but then Stokes Brothers, Nighthawks, Blaine Construction and Artie Circle all have 4-2 records. Lone Star Saloon, SL Carpet and Flour Supply are all sitting with 1-5 records. Saturday night. This league has been the hardest hit by the rain and other weather elements. ele-ments. Clarence Knight leads with a 4-0 mark with Gramoll Construction right behind at 3-1. Then comes a logjam with Crossroads II, Sunset Sun-set Sports, Honeytree Products and FDC all sitting with 2-2 marks. Baseline Appraisal has a 1-3 record while Speedsters is at 0-4. |
