Show NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS Miss Kate Ericksen was hostess at a kensington Tuesday evening for the girls of ' the Just-a-Mere club. Those present were Misses Addie Anderson, An-derson, Gladys Ericksen, Arcilee Barnett, Goldie Neilson, Eva Simpson Simp-son and Nettie Beaumann. The N. S. H. Senior class celebrated celebrat-ed their "Senior Day" Wednesday with a ha'yraek ride to the municipal power plant, where a sumptuous camp dinner was prepared. The. party par-ty consisted of twelve members of the class chaperoned by Mrs. W. Lyle Allred and Miss Margaret Thurman. Mrs. Hannah Barnett was hostess at a dinner party Thursday afternoon after-noon in honor of her birthday anniversary. anni-versary. Her guests were Mrs. A. E. Peterson, Mrs. R. Whittaker, Mrs. E. H. Ericksen, Mrs. W. E. Madsen, Mrs. Andrew Knudsen, Mrs. Hyrum Christensen, Mrs. May Munk, Mrs. E. C. Johnson, Miss Annie Johansen, Miss Addie Anderson, Miss Helen Peterson Pe-terson and Miss Arcilee Barnett. Miss Tina Ericksen was given a very unique surprise shower at her home Wednesday afternoon by a number of the eighth grade girls of her section. Those in the party were Ina Larsen, lone Carter, Grace Mcintosh, Mc-intosh, Lavona Lund, Helen Boyden, Bernice Madsen, Helen Hansen, Oleah Wall and Bernita Hansen. Miss Ericksen, Er-icksen, in turn, entertained the party at Ed Johnston's drug store. The girls of the Justamere Club were entertained at the home of Miss Kate Ericksen Tuesday evening at a kensington and luncheon. It was decided de-cided that hereafter the club shall be known as the "La Chere Soiree." Miss Ericksen had as her guests the Misses Nettie Beaumann, Arcilee Barnett, Eva Simpson, Addie Anderson, Ander-son, Goldie Nielsen and Gladys Ericksen. Erick-sen. Saturday evening the club met at the home of Miss Nettie Beaumann and filled a number of boxes with delicious de-licious home-made candies to be sent to friends now serving in the Army and Navy. , The Missionary society met Tuesday Tues-day afternoon at the home of Mrs. H. C. Beaumann, at which time a musical program on the hymns of Isaac Watts and Charles Wesley was rendered. Several beautiful solos and duets illustrative of these hymns were sung by Miss Grace Sample, Mrs. T. M. Keusseff and Miss Ruth Mitchell. Biographical sketches of Isaac Watls and .Charles Wesley were given by Rev. R. B. Norton and T. M. Keusseff. A dainty luncheon was served to twelve guests at the conclusion con-clusion of the program. '4fce last meeting of this year will be held Wednesday, May 7. |
