Show FOUR MORE ARE TO . LEAVE NEXT WEEK Manti Woke Up and Gave Departing Boys a Testimonial. One week from today four more Sanpete boys will be-called into the service. They are:- , Charles Peter Dsnison, Manti. Niel Curtis, Moroni. William Milten Oldroyd, Fountain Green. Loren E. Taylor, Freedom. The four will entrain from Manti Saturday, May 11, at 10 o'clock for Fort McDowell, Calif. Last week Manti again jumped" into old form in evidencing appreciation apprecia-tion of the boys leaving to enter the service. The city arranged for a short program pro-gram for leave-taking at the depot Sunday morning, where hundreds gathered to wish the boys goodbye and God-speed. The night before, the Needle craft took it upon themselves to do a royal bit for all the boys, of the county who were in Manti. A dance' was given at the Armada, and a luncheon at the Commercial club rooms for the Needle Nee-dle craft members, the departing soldiers, sol-diers, their parents and lady friends. At this function each of the boys made a short talk, also a number of the guests. The dance was one of the most enjoyable en-joyable of the season, a short program pro-gram being given at the close. Sunday morning quite a crowd accompanied ac-companied the boys to the train, where the Manti Musical Maids furnished fur-nished music while hundreds were gathering to see the boys off, and where a few short talks were made. Alma Peterson of Manti was placed in charge of the men from this county, coun-ty, and general agent J. H. Hornung was delegated by the railroad company com-pany to accompany the different county units to Salt Lake. Charley Denison w'as unable to leave, having the mumps, and Julius Christenson was the alternate selected select-ed in his place. The holiday aspect of the occasion was ushered in Saturday afternoon fhen the Fountain Green brass band brought over their share of the quota. Paul Nielson, the baritone player of the band.
