Show "WATCHFUL WAITING WOULDN'T WORK Monday, the first day of the open op-en fish season in Utah, saw the streams near this valley where the finny tribe abounds lined with devotees devo-tees of that justly popular spring sport. According to report luck was "jes' middlin'." Some came home with a good sized string and a bigger story of the ones that got away, while others canie with the story but without the string. Others Oth-ers had the usual fisherman's luck. As a rule the reports agree that the water is a little high and in places places roilly. Fishing will probably proba-bly as good or better three weeks from now as on the opening day. - One party from Mt. Pleasant consisting con-sisting of J. C. Barton, Wilford Syn-dergaard, Syn-dergaard, Mape Lundberg and Chas. Eatinger,, were perhaps luckier than the average, as they brought home "the bacon" and agood story as well. The story was one of a pleasing diversion di-version in the way of a lively game of hide and seek enjoyed by the fisherman aforesaid and a mother bear and her two young cubs, each representing- a side in the controversy. contro-versy. Which side played on the "hide" side and which on the "seek" side has not been made public pub-lic as yet, but is safe to say there was no "watchful wailing" indulged in on the part of the piscaloriai'y inclined side of the difficulty. wao B-a |
