Show Spring City Aleatha Club To Sponsor Flower Show Aug. 24 o The Aleatha Club members are making extensive plans for their second flower chow to be held in the ward recreation hali next tuesday, August 24th: In charge of the show will be a special committe with Mrs. Margaret Peterson as chairman. Assisting her will be Mrs. Eva Grace Allred and Mrs. Olga Black as the special committee. Each club member will have charge of the display of flowers program committee, the reception committee and the The show is open to anyone desiring to display their flowers but they are requested to have them in containers. Prizes will be given the prize winning var-ities. The ward primary will hole the annual fall festival on Tuesday Tues-day evening, August 23rd. at the ward recreation hall under the direction of president Mrs. Libb.ie Allred. Each group of the primary will present the songs and dances of the group they have studied throughout the Summer The groups include the Indian, British Isles, Pacific Isles and Scandinavian. The boys and girls will be dressed in their costumes they have made during dur-ing the summer. A fine display of class handiwork will be placed on large decorated tables and jthe foods of the respective groups will also be placed on display. Mrs. Rose Schofield will have charge of the music for the Festival. The Primary officers will donate do-nate a variety of refreshments to be sold throughout the evening. The festival will be the conclusion conclu-sion of the summer work. The summer primary work in this work has been very outstanding and the attendance of the group very good. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Roberts of Lehi visited recently at the homes of Mrs. Jane Justensen and Mr. and Mrs. Marsden Allred. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Sukeforth and son of Denver who have been recent visitors at the Allred and Justensen Just-ensen homes. The Denver visitors visit-ors returned home Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Max Blain and children visited in Moroni sun-day sun-day and monday with their mother Mrs. Serena Ostler. Relatives and friends of Mrs. Anenia Allred called at her home Thursday to extPnd birthday greetings to hen Mrs. Viola Allred Jensen and small baby boy are visiting with her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Willis Allred and other relatives here The visitors live in Provo. Mrs. Bertha Brady and children child-ren of Fairview spent tuesday visiting Mrs. Mar Dye. Mrs. Joseph I. Beck is in Provo this week visiting a daughter Mrs. Cliff Stubbs. - Mrs Edra Peterson and son Martin are Pleasant Grove visitor for a few days. Miss Patsy Allred has returned home from a two weeks visit to Helper where she visited Mr. and, Mrs. Dean Allred. Mrs. Mena Carlson is at present visiting in Eureka with a son Gerald Carlson and family. Mr and Mrs. Archie Aiken and Mr and Mrs. Terrance Aiken were visitors in Salt Lake City the past week where Mrs. Archie Aiken and Terrance Aiken went for medical attention. Visitors over the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Anfjus Black were Mr. and Mrs. Allen Black and babv of Richfield. Mr and Mrs. Reese Bunnell and family of Brigham Citv spent sunday visiting their mother Mrs. Helena Bunnell. Mrs. Claren Schofield received ; ! word this week her husband i undertook a recent operation at I the veterans hospital in Salt : Lake City. 9 Mr. and Mrs. Pratt Osborne returned home Friday evening from a vacation trip to the Yellowstone National Park and they spent several days at Boise Idaho visiting a son Devon Osborne and family. Visiting sunday at the Osborne home were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tucker and children of Sunnydale. The Kindergarten class of the ward sunday school held a birthday party in their class sunday morning with teachers; Mrs. Libbie Allred, Mrs. Lola Watson and Miss Phyllis Hansen in charge. The children heard their birthday story and sang the birthday song in group. Each were presented with individual in-dividual birthday cakes topped with a birthday candle. Social News The D.U.P. members held a social at the home of Mrs. Mary Finell, Thursday afternoon. The following program was presented with each member presenting one number on the program. Mrs. Mazel Black had charge of the program. Mrs. Finell and Mrs. Hannah Michel served the group with refreshments. Donald Benson of Ephraim visited the Spring City ward sunday evening and gave a splendid talk on his recent mission mis-sion to Sweden and Finland. He related his experiences while in the mission field and told of' the countries.. His parents Mr. and Mrs. Benson accompanied him here. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Black and children of Salt Lake City are visiting their parents Mr. and Mrs. Angus Black. Teachers Mrs. Neva Dye and Mrs. Jessie Schofield of the Zions boys and girls first year, directed j a smorgsbord at the home of Mrs. Dye recently. The boys and girl? assisted in bringing fine cakes, ffeese, sandwiches and other dishes of the Scandinavian people. Visiting recently with her parents par-ents was Mrs. Janet Kitchen and children of Provo. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. John R. Baxter. Stake and ward primary officers from the Spring City ward also attending attend-ing were Mrs. Ada Ellis. Mrs. Neva Dye, Mrs. Nellis Blain and Mrs. Christie Bunnel. Bp.
