Show Mo Comfori For Japan Tokyo admirals will get little comfort out of the announcement by Admiral King that plans are ready for the shifting of full strength against Japan and the intimation that it will not be necessary to await the collapse of Germany to expect greater pressure upon the Japanese; The main lines of attack are already determined. Japanese losses are rapidly putting the enemy in a dangerous position, unable to transnort vital raw materials from conquered areas. Never forget that the fate of Japan will be determined by what happens in the waters a-round a-round Japan and between the farflung possessions. Control of the seas will give life and lack of control will bring death to the Japanese empire. We are not concerned with how the United Nations secure dominion do-minion of these key waterways, whether by air power alone, sea power or a combination of both, with the aid and assistance of land forces. We are sure,v however, how-ever, that the island empire of Japan will go down as a result of losing control of the necessary seas. |
