Show j FAIRVIEW Special Correspondence 1 Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Johnson are the happy parents of a baby girl born at the Madsen hospital Tuesday, January 11th. Mrs. Johnson was formerly Miss Faun Sanders. Her husband is in the Armed Forces. Mrs. Ettie Stevens of Murray, Utah is a visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Tanner. Sergeant Earl K. Mower,- wife and baby are visiting at the home of Sergeant Mower's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Orson Mower. He will leave Wednesday for his post of duty at Shreve Port, Louisiana Lo-uisiana where he is stationed. Private Merlin Anderson, who has been stationed at Louisiana in the Medical Corps, , spent a short furlough nome last week visiting with his mother, Mrs. Emma Jane Anderson and other relatives; and -fnend3. The Bridge club met at the home of Mrs. Lucy Tucker Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. A delicious hot luncheon was served to 12 members. mem-bers. Prizes were won by Mrs. Mary' Sanderson, Mrs. Valeria Cheney and Mrs. Varda Vance. Mrs. Randa Coombs was hostess host-ess to the Literary club Monday evening. Pioneers stories by Nibley were read by Mrs. Eva Hand. The remainder of the time was spent in needlework. Refreshments Re-freshments were served to 14 members and guests. - Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bills of Pro-vo Pro-vo were visitors in Fairview over the week end visiting with relatives rela-tives and friends. Mrs. C. L. Jensen and baby of Pocatello, Idaho visited with her mother, Mrs. Phlinda Turpin last week. Mrs. Jensen, accompanied accom-panied by her mother, left for her home in Pocatello Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mrs. Hannah Tucker celebrated her 71st birthday anniversary at home Wednesday. A delicious hot chicken dinner was served to 15 relatives. The Scuincr r.luh met at the home of Mrs. Erma Peterson Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon. The time was spent in quilting. A hot dinner was served at the conclusion of the sewing. Mr. Jess Coombs entertained a party at his home Friday evening. eve-ning. The time was spent in playing progressive games. Wilford Jensen was 1 in charge of the program. The ' rest of the evening was spent in dancing. The Harmonica Band ; of Fairview furnished mussic for the dance. About two hundred people attended. Mr. and Mrs. LeVern Jensen were visitors in Ogden and Salt Lake City Wednesday and Thursday. Thurs-day. . . Mrs. Laura Vance was a visitor . in Salt Lake City during the week. |
