Show Ferron CCC Camp News J!ine mo.'e new enrollees arrived in crrp last Friday, raising the total to-tal enrollment for this quarter to a hundred and eighty. A number of the ne.v 'men have a. ea3y shown talent in art, music, and woodwork. This has enriched the educational and recreational activities of the irp. Max Killriack of Ferron and Far ell Peterson of Castle Dale are among the new men who have xrosisal talent and have been a great help t: the camp orchestra. Under the direction of Lt. Herald Gould a nine piece orchestra p.o-vi-Jed the music for the Ferron Camp's anniversary celebration. The men talented in woodworking a e building soxe fine chairs to be added to the Camp's furniture. ' Plans have 'been coxpleted for the re( siring cf the entire camp by a certified electrician. Lt. Anderson, the Company Commander, has had several electricians examine the job and give estimates of ihe cost. The dinner and dance in celebration celebra-tion of the third anniversary of Caixp Ferron and in honor of the .Tiiambeis who have been in the C's since the building of the camp, was a huge success. The cooks did an excellent job in preparation of the chicken dinner and members of the orchestra provided good dance music. Approximately twenty-five guests were present at the dinner and over three hundred joined the dancing in the auditorium auditor-ium of the Ferron high school. Lt. Herald Gould was called by the Castle Dale camp for temporary tempor-ary duty in the absence of Lieutenant Lieu-tenant Callahan -who had to go to Hanksville for a day or two to b ing b?ck property belonging to the Castle Dale Camp. |
