Show FAIPwVIEW I Ey Special Correspondence Funeral services for He.bert Tucker. 68, who died at his hole in Delta Tuesday were held Thursday at eleven a. m. in the Delta Sec-end Sec-end werd with Bishop A. E. Stephenson Ste-phenson in charge. Burial W3s in Delt?, cemetery. Mr. Tucker w?.s born in Fairviaw, Utah, January 7. 1870, a son of Axasa and Martha- Tucker. He lived in Feirview and later in Mt. Pieasant for a short while before going to Delta, with his wife Minnie Mr.nsen, and family, eighteen years ago. He operated a shoe repair shop until his illness a few years ago. surviving Mr. Tucker are two sons, Vard and Buddy Tucker, Delta; i'.u.- daughters, Mrs. Helen Sharp, Delta; Mrs. Ray Cox and Mrs. Ray Allis, Salt Lake; Mrs. Fred Min-nicke, Min-nicke, Mascn City, Washington; and the following brothers and sisters: sis-ters: Marion Tucker and Mrs. J. P. Larsen, Fair view; Ray Tucker, Jackson Jack-son Hole. Wyoming; Mrs. Berk Olson, Ol-son, Mrs. J. P. Madsen and. Lorin Tucker, Salt Lake, and Mrs. Royal Candland, Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Allen Hansen and Mrs. Udell Anderson of Moroni visited friends -na relatives here Tuesday. Bishop and Mrs. Burns Cox, Chad Cox, Mrs. Newell Ccx, Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson, Aaron Cheney, xi.'Aard Rigby were among the eunA-renee visitors last iweek. More than forty-five ladies attended at-tended the demonstration of new salrds given at the South ward Relief Re-lief Society last week. A lesson cn vitamins 'was given by Mrs. Max Ccx, and the salads were demonstrated demon-strated by Mrs. A. J. Anderson and Mrs. Elvira Bench. The first meeting of the year of the North Bend Camp of Daughters Daugh-ters of Pioneers was held at the ho.rre of the Captain, Melinda Tucker,. Friday, October 14th. Mrs. Ciea Larsen gave the lesson on "Early Explorers and Fur Traders of the West." A song was given by Winona Tucker and company. Mrs. Bert Tucker resigned as first vice chairman. Mrs. Kate Mills evas sustained as first vice captain and M s. Leah Nielon as second vice captain. Mrs. Diantha Sanderson Sand-erson r.as released as chaplain and Mrs. N. Peter Nielsen voted in to take her place. Mrs. Buford Christensen, Chris-tensen, Mis. Wilson Larsen and Mrs. .Lee Burr were sustained as the program, committee. The November No-vember meeting will be held November No-vember 4th at the home of Mrs. Albert Madsen, with Mrs. Annie C. Bills and Mrs. T. J. Fowles as assisting as-sisting hostesses. Twenty-two ladies la-dies attended the meeting and enjoyed en-joyed the dainty refreshments. |
