Show Ferron CCC Camp News Receiving reports that the meals and mess hall of Company 959 were outstanding, "Happy Days." a national nat-ional weekly newspaper, printed a 2000-word article in its December 25th issue, describing this Company's Comp-any's accomplishments and methods meth-ods of mess management. Members Mem-bers and officers of Company 959 feel p:oud of having been rated as outstanding among approximately 1500 other camps in the nation. Among the new activities in the educational line beginning this week is a class in Forestry taught by Camp Superintendent Frank R. Wathen. Instruction in Telephone Line Construction and First Aid was also added this week to the Camp's educational program. With the .addition of twenty or more new enrollees this week it is hoped that, the Company Strength will not be altered for some time so t.iat reorganization of classes will net be necessary. Two reels of motion picture on "New Methods of Pasteurization and Distribution of Milk" was presented pre-sented to members of the Company last Monday evening. Last week four reels of "Modern Methods of Industry" were shown in the Recreation Rec-reation Hall of the Camp. Educational Educa-tional pictures have become an important im-portant part of the weekly leisure time activities of the Camp. . |
