Show SPRING CITY . i By Special Correspondence i The Misses Lavell Rasmussen and Veone Sorensen spent a few days last week visiting relatives and friends in Salt Lake City. They returned home Sunday. Otto Sorenson and family of Salt Lake City spent the Christmas Christ-mas holidays visiting with relatives rela-tives in our city. Mrs. Rose R. Parley Rasmussen returned to Salt Lake City Monday after spending spend-ing the holidays here with relatives. rela-tives. He is studying electrical engineering. Mr. and Mrs. Jewell Rasmussen of Salt Lake City visited with relatives rel-atives here and at Ephraim during dur-ing the holidays. Frank Coleman and Miss Eva Coleman motored to Draper where they visited their sister Mrs. Sam Catoibi last week. Christian Sorensen and children were pleasantly surprised on Wednesday Wed-nesday of last week by a group of neighbors and relatives. A deli-ious deli-ious luncheon was served. Mr. Sorenson lives on a farm east of town. Mrs. Sorenson died a few months ago. Lesley Nunley came here from Iosepa where he is employed by the Deseret Livestock Company to spend a few days with his mother, Mrs. Olivia Mikkelson. The Letitia Club held a Christ mas party Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Arthur Robinson. The husbands of the members were special guests. Mrs. Ruth Allred is In a critical condition in a Salt Lake hospital where she underwent an operation a week ago for carcinoma. Boyd Jones of Bingham spent New Years Day here at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Christeen Bohleen. Sylvanus Howell and family of Fairview were guests Sunday at the home of their daughter Mrs. Archie Barney and family. Clifford Justesen and family of Midvale visited their parents and other helatives in Spring City during dur-ing the holiday season. Kimball Thompson and family of Santaquin visited Sunday at the home of Mrs. Thompson's sister, Mrs Arvel Peterson. Mr and Mrs. John F. Justesen had as guests over the holidays their children and grandchildren of Granger, Salt Lake City, Bingham, Bing-ham, and Mt. Pleasant. Christian Sorensen and sons Lewis and Gordon motored to Clearfield to spend New Year at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Blain. New city officials took the oath of office Monday, January 3rd when William Lee Allred became the mayor of Spring City for the third time. Other officers are Hyrum Jensen, four-year councilman; Jesse L. Blain, Burns Allred, Warner War-ner Christensen and Newton, Donaldson. Don-aldson. Ed Hansen is the holdover hold-over councilman. Outgoing officers were Mayor, Farrell Sorensen, La-mont La-mont Jensen, J. Evart Larsen and Henry Blain. |
