Show FOUNTAIN GREEN 1 Bt Special Correspondence Mrs. Elmer Carter received word recently that her mother, Mrs. Lacy j. Holman of Brigham City had fallen, breaking her hip, and was being taken to a Salt Lake hospital for treatment. She remained re-mained there for some time and nas recove.ed sufficiently that she wjs abie to be brought here. She ftas accompanied by her husband, James S. Holman and they will remain re-main here indefinitely at ihe lume cf Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Carter. Mrs. James N. Madsen and Peter J. Johnson are L-cth very ill at their respective homes. Trie Scout Lodge of Fountain Green, which is located near the Big Springs, was dedicated lait Tuesday with Bishop Irvin P. Old-.'jyd Old-.'jyd in charge. Prayer was offered offer-ed by President Joseph R. Chris-cianser.-, after which two band selections se-lections were played by the school band, under the direction of Vernon Johansen. Mayor Niels E. Mikkel-scn Mikkel-scn gave a talk and the guest speaker was Scoute- Christopher-son, Christopher-son, who also led the Scouts in games. The flag ceremony was prtjented under the direction of Scoutmaster Seymour Mikkelson. Lauritz Madsen has purchased the home of Fred D. Smyth. A large number of people attended attend-ed the farewell party given Sun day evening in honor of Monte Nielson, who left Monday morning to enter the Mission Home. A splendid program was enjoyed and a fine contribution was given to assist him on his way. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Jacobson have moved to Salt Lake City where he has employment. 'Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Ivory and M-. and Mrs. Royal Ivory and family returned home Sunday from a week's visit with relatives and friends in Los Angeles. Mrs. Mercie Ivory remained for a short visit. The Wool City band entertained entertain-ed last Monday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Niels Nielson who hve recently moved to Provo. A delicious hot dinner was served after which an excellent program was enjoyed and tributes paid to the loyalty and success of the Fountain. Green bands from 1368 until tr d esent time ard to tlj,e devctioii and dependability of Its members at all times. A reading lamp was presented by James H. Mikkelsen as a token of appreciation apprecia-tion for the efficient work of Mr. Nielsen as a band member. The evening's entertainment was then concluded with a dance, the music being furnished by the Revelers Orchestra. A large number of band members and their partners were present. The following clubs met for their Christmas parties last week: The Elite club at the home of Mrs. John J. Oldroyd; the Social Hour club at the home of Mrs. Mary A. Mikkelson and the Just-a-Mere club at the home of Mrs. Sam Coulson. |
