LEON SWEAT (Linda Boren) Reception Honors Young Couple Friday Evening After Marriage Rites One of the very - lovedy social affairs was -the wedding reception recep-tion tendered by Mr. and Mrs. LaVell Boren, honoring their daughter Linda and Leon Sweat, on Friday evening at the First-Fifth First-Fifth Ward Chapel and Recreation Recrea-tion Hall. Adhering to a blue and white color scheme, the young couple greeted relatives and friends with a background of full length mirrors, mir-rors, enhanced with ferns, daisies and carnations. Assisting the young couple in receiving were the bride's parents, par-ents, the grooms parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest L. Sweat, the brides attendants, the bride's sister, Shirley Boren, maid of honor and bridesmaids Miss Marilyn Swenson Swen-son and Miss Sue Black. Jimmy Crystal assumed best man duties. The youthful bride was beautiful beau-tiful in a floor length gown of white lace over nylon net, modeled model-ed with fitted bodice, scalloped neckline, enhanced with tiny crystals crys-tals and seed pearls, and featured featur-ed long tapered sleeves. Her sheer fingertip veil of illusion fell from a tiara of lace and seed pearls. She carried a bridal bouquet of pink rosebuds and stephonitis. tied with blue streamers. Her attendants donned pastel formals and held colonial bouquets bou-quets of pink carnations. The brides mother was attractively gowned in lace, while Mrs. Sweat chose a gown of blue lace. Both pinned on white feathered carnations. car-nations. Greeting guests at the door were Mr. and Mi's. Lee Swenson and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Carlson. Miss Pat Fullerton and Miss Nona No-na Kirk handled the guest book. Background music throughout the receiving hours was played by Bill Anderson. In the serving section Mrs. Donald Ohran assumed hostess duties. Here the table was covered cov-ered with a lace cloth over blue and centered with a gorgeous four-tier wedding cake decorated with small bluebirds and pink rosebuds and topped with silver wedding bells. Lovely young ladies who served were Misses JoAnn Radmall, Louise Lou-ise Richins, Diane Walker, Jane Ingersoll, Sandra Lunceford and LsAnne Smith. Arranging the unusual gift display dis-play was Mrs. Grant Adamson, Mrs. Stewart Adamson, Mrs. Jack Boren and Mrs. Bill Butt. They were assisted by young gift bearers bear-ers Sherry and Scott Carlson, Shayne Adamson and Bradley Ohran. The young couple exchanged wedding vows earlier in the evening ev-ening at a simple but impressive ceremony with Bishop Lewis Har-mer Har-mer officiating. Only relatives and close friends were in attendance. |
