Show P.G. Firemen Get Five Calls So Far This Month So far during July volunteer firemen of Pleasant Grove's fire department have answered five calls, according to the report of secretary Don Smith. On July 1, 13 firemen responded respond-ed and extinguished a grass and trash fire at 463 East Second North, Pleasant Grove. High pressure pres-sure fluids weire used. No estimated estim-ated damage reported. The second fire for the month was reported at 4:30 p.m. July 5. This was a grass and brush fire on the watershed south of Grove Creek Canyon. The 12 firemen who responded to the blaze used shovels and wet sacks to smother smoth-er the flames. Damage could not be estimated. Fire number 3 was of pass type at 1250 East, this city. The alarm was turned in at 3 p.m. on July 9. The 11 firemen who responded soon controlled the flames with no reported damage. The fourth fire was also of the grass variety and broke out of control at 130 North, Second West at 1 p.m., also on July 9. Twelve firemen extinguished the flames with high pressure equipment before be-fore any estimated loss resulted. Alarm number five was turned in at 3:05 p.m. July 15. A wreck on Highway 91, near Bob's Cars spilled gasoline over the pavement. pave-ment. The highway was washed down with water. Four firemen performed the preventive activities. activ-ities.
