Show Lions Plan Steak Fry in Canyon Wed., August 5 Donald M. Monson, superintendent superinten-dent of the night school for adults at Central Utah Vocational Vocation-al School was guest speaker at the regular Lions Club meeting held on Wednesday evening, July 15, Lion Ray Mills directed the program and introduced Mr. Monson, Mon-son, who spoke on the scope and variety of the night school program pro-gram at CUVS. He told of the role of the school in apprentice training in cooperation cooper-ation with Geneva Steel Co. and other industrial institutions of Central Utah. Also discussed was the August 5 Zone A Steak Fry, scheduled for 8 p.m. at the American Fork Canyon ranger station. An estimated esti-mated 100 to 125 Lions Club members are expected to attend. Zone A includes the clubs from Lehi, American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Lindon, Orem and Heber City. George Jaynes of the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove Club will direct the affair as general chairman, with local President O. M. Shoemaker , as master of ceremonies. Speaker for the evening will be District Governor Russell Williams Will-iams and a 1959 convention report re-port will be made by Lions International Inter-national Counselor Clell Jackson. |
