Show Financial Report -of PI. Grove For 1958 Gives Valuable Data Complete Financial Report Given On Page Two of This Issue of Review The 1958 financial report of Pleasant Grove City, published in detail in this week's issue of the Review, shows "General Fund" revenues and expenditures of $135,410.97 and $127,498.27, re- spectively, according t.) Mill n D. Radmall, city recorder. Highest item of General Fund revenues was of course, moneys received from General property taxes, which totaled $62,736.21 Other major revenue sources in this category" include fines and forfeitures, $5,692.85; business licenses, li-censes, $5,373.63; class "C" load funds, $7, 292.88; garbage collection collec-tion charges, $5,163.00 and state liquor fund allotment $1,638.09. Out of city fire sen-ice yielded $2,441.23. On the expenditure side of the General Fund ledger, chief items, according to the report were: administration, ad-ministration, $14,627.49; public safety (fire and police), $25,290.-17; $25,290.-17; streets and public improvements,' improve-ments,' '$64,910.92, cemetery, $5,-510.90 $5,-510.90 and parks and recreation, $6,891.30. Incidentally, $552.00 was spent for public health as a part of the public safety program. In the sewer and water department, de-partment, sewer rentals paid $28,827.83 and water sales amounted amoun-ted to ? 15.276.25 for a total or . $74,104 US. After deducting operating expense, ex-pense, nan-operating expense and $8,000 bond retirement, the sewer sew-er department went, into the rat $10,441.21 and the1 water department depart-ment finished- the year in the black, $15,354.69. Sewer and water wat-er combined showed a not' profit for 1958 of $4,913.57,' the report shows. Under the- heading "Sewer and Water Bonds Payable" the ' following fol-lowing items are interesting! One series of $30,000 of water bonds-have been reduced to $3,000 A second $15,000 series oi- water bonds due in 1961 have not been reduced to date. Sewer and water revenue bonds due in 1986 have been reduced from $395,000 to $372,000. Another Anoth-er serii a of Sewer bonds for $120,000 due in 1985 have not bc-en reduced as of 1958. In addition, a series of street improvement bonds, totaling $35,-000 $35,-000 due in 1969 have not been reduced re-duced as of Dec. 31, 1958. The total bonded indebtedness of Pleasant Grove City, which stood at $615,000 at the completion comple-tion of the- sewer, water and street improvements, has' be. n reduced to $500,000. |
