Show High Schools Should Be Ready By '58 Architect William Rowe Smith was present at the recent meeting of the Alpine District Board of Education and discussed plans for the three new Senior High Schools at Pleasant Grove, American Fork and Lehi. After the discussion, Supt. Alma P. Burton said, "Contracts "Con-tracts for the new high schools will be let in the not too distant future; and the buildings should be ready for occupancy by the fall of 1958." Officers of the Alpine Education Association met with the Board of Education at the meeting. President Presi-dent Clifton M. Pyne and Vice-President Vice-President Lyean I. Johnson presented pre-sented matters concerning the welfare wel-fare of teachers to members of the Board. Upon the recommendation of the auditor of the yearly audit of school finances, the Board approved approv-ed the bonding of all principals and clerks on the secondary level. The Board also approved the employment of Kenneth Robinson, American Fork, as full time maintenance main-tenance helper in the district. |
