Show B-Champs Honored"! At Banquet On Wednesday Pleasant Grove's B Championship Champion-ship football team was honored on Wednesday night with a banquet sponsored' by the Directors of the Pleasant Grove Chamber of Commerce. Com-merce. Honored also, were the five members of the local FFA stock judging team, who won honors at the recent National Stock Judging contest held at Waterloo, Iowa. The dinner, which was a pay-as-you-go and donation affair, was held at 7:30 p.m. in the High School lunch room. The vegetables for the meal were donated by the Pleasant Grove Canning Co., the turkeys by Keith Jacobs and the other eatables by the Chamber of Commerce directors. In addition the directors each paid a dollar for their plate, according to C of C president Vern Goode. The High School lunch workers prepared and served the meal. Tables were decorated dec-orated by the wives of the directors. direc-tors. Following the dinner, the film of the 1956 Championship game was shown and the boys told interesting interest-ing anecdotes of their travels and accomplishments. Specially invited guests were the Mayor, Edward C. Roberts, Principal Princi-pal A. J. Rogers, Coaches Ned Alger, Don Crump and Clyde Christensen, and FFA instructor Willis M. Banks. |
