Show Precipitation Is Above Average For January in P.G. Precipitation for the month of January amounted to 2.22 inches for the Pleasant Grove area. The report was released Wednesday morning by Calvin Walker, lorn I U. S. Weather observer. Mr. Walker stated that the state wide average for January is 1.75 inches. This would indicate that the January 1956 precipitation locally lo-cally at least, is well over average-Coldest day of the past month was January 31 when the official mercury fell to 10 degrees above zero. Warmest January days were on the 5th and 6th when readings of 62 degrees were recorded. Incidentally, the thermometer read 6 degrees above zero on the morning of Feb. I, Mr. Walker said. |
