Bird Protection Society Being Organized Here Headed by Ida Pierson and Vel-la Vel-la Liston, co-chairman, the Audubon Audu-bon Club is being sponsored in this community, a project to study an protect bird and other wild life. A -meeting has been called for Saturday Feb. 4 at 1:30 p.m. by the chairmen, to be held at what will be their headquarters, the old church offices at the comer of Center St. and third east., calling all boys and girls 7 years or over. The project is nation-wide, its purpose being to acquaint boys and girls with the importance of studying, protecting, and caring for the same, building bird houses, and trying to make every home and farm a bird sanctuary, as many of our native birds are fast becoming almost extinct. The Audubon Club should prove a very worthwhile activity for all. The meeting Saturday will acquaint ac-quaint everyone interested with the working of the organizations.
