Show Alpine Teachers Hold Conclave In PI. Grove Salary increases, teachers insurance, insur-ance, taxes, and constitutional revisions re-visions were the items on the agenda of the Alpine Teachers Association conclave held at the Pleasant Grove High School last Tuesday afternoon. Schools in Alpine Al-pine District were dismissed to . provide the teachers with free time for the meeting. Neil Tippets of the U.E.A .office discussed with the teachers the advantages of the new State Association As-sociation Insurance plan. "Utah's Tax Structure and Its Limitations" was the subject of speaker Howard Hardy, also of the UEA office. Jesse R. Walker of the local high school explained the workings of the Alpine District Credit Un- " ion; and Edgar Booth of Orem spoke in favor of salary increases for next year. Considerable discussion centered around the adoption of a new constitution con-stitution for the Alpine District Association. In spite of considerable consider-able objection to some of the ""changes, the document was finally final-ly adopted by the necessary two-thirds two-thirds majority. It was also agreed that the present staff of officers will continue to function until September, Sep-tember, 1956. According to President Ford M. Paulson, the salary committee will continue to negotiate with the Superintendent and Board of Education Edu-cation until a satisfactory agreement agree-ment is reached. Superintendent Alma P.
