Show Helen HarVey Is Hostess for Accumenettes Club Accumenettes met Thursday evening ev-ening with Helen Harvey, where they listened to a very interesting interest-ing and informative discourse by-Mrs. by-Mrs. William Waddoups, who told of life in the Hawaiian Islands, where she spent the large portion of her life. For 18 yeai-s her husband hus-band was president of the Hawaiian Hawaii-an LDS Temple and for six years LDS mission president. For 3y2 years he and his wife were called to labor and assist at the Hansons Disease Colony (Leper Colony). The speaker had much to tell about conditions there, and of the care and treatment of the unfortunate unfor-tunate people of the colony, and gave the young matrons many facts which they had never known. Besides the guest speaker there were two other guests of the hostess, hos-tess, Mi's. Edith Anderson and Mrs. Fern Anderson. After the discussion a social hour was enjoyed, honoring the outgoing officers, Fern Anderson .president, Gloria Carter, vice president, Ver-na Ver-na Ekins, secretary, and Norma Brown, reporter. Each was given a gift of appreciation. Other club members enjoying the discussion and the tasty refreshments refresh-ments were Nelda Warnick, Ven-ace Ven-ace Fugal, Betty Harvey, Luana Hulllnger, Beverly Monson, Hannah Han-nah Beth Matthews, Gwen Un-thank, Un-thank, Sylvia Peterson, Latella Beveridge, Gwen Roundy, Carol Swenscm, Nlita Robinson, JoAnn Robinson and the hostess, |
