Show Lindon Lions Make Payment On Lindon Park Lindon Lions President O. L. Swenson presented guests Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Keetch with the current cur-rent Park payment at the monthly meeting Friday vening. A check was given as payment on the 8 acres purchased from Mr. Keetch for a community park by ithe club. The payments have been raised through popular subscription and fund-raising projects sponsored by club members. At the meeting it was voted to seed the west area with grass as soon as possible.. President Swenson says this will necessitate a re-survey as someone has pulled up the stakes of the survey just completed. He appeals to the public pub-lic to cooperate with the members so that this work can go ahead without further delays. ( A United States flag was purchased pur-chased by the club and will be donated to the cub scouts of Lindon. Lin-don. The presentation will be officially of-ficially made at the pack meeting next Friday at 7 p.m. in the Community Com-munity Park Building. Chairman Gerald Goss'will accept thte flag from Lion Harold Keetch. Following a report on the Fair Day "Chuck Wagon and Outdoor Dance" Lion Swenson introduced Arthur Henderson and wife of Pleasant Grove. Mr. Henderson is North Utah County District Conservation Con-servation officer of the Utah Fish and Game Department and he introduced in-troduced Mr. and Mrs. Jack Alls-house Alls-house of American Fork. Mr. Alls-house Alls-house is the Sportsman's representative repre-sentative of the Utah State Board of Big game. He narrated and presented pre-sented a film on the big game of Utah. Thirty-eight persons heard about the big game situation and what steps are being taken, while viewing view-ing colored pictures of several local lo-cal areas. At the close of the meeting these men invited the group to investigate and participate partic-ipate in thte "Hunters Safety Program" Pro-gram" which is getting underway throughout the state. Other special guests were A. O. Taylor, R. Hayward, Frank Johnson John-son and Dr. C. O. Jensen of Pro-vo. Pro-vo. They invited everyone to come and enjoy breakfast with the Pro-vo Pro-vo Lions Club on Oct. 4 to help raise funds to improve their park. There were two new club members mem-bers and their wives present, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. David and Mr. and Mrs. Warron Kirk. |
