Show . Alpine News Children and grandchildren of Frank Strong met at his home on Sunday in honor of his birthday anniversary, which occurred October Octo-ber 1. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Hugh W. Peterson, Ray and Howard Peterson, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Peterson and daughter of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. Darrow Turner Tur-ner and sons of Heber, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Strong and daughter of Salt Lake City, Mrs. May Wilson and children of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Clark, Bessie and Beverly Clark, and Dan Clark of Alpine. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Devey were host and hostess to their children and grandchildren on Sunday, the occasion being Mr. Devey's birthday. birth-day. Mr. and Mrs. C. Douglas Barnes of Long Beach, California, spent a few days here with Mrs. Barnes' parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Strong. Mr. Barnes is president of the stake at Long Beach and they are here to attend General Conference of the L. D. S. church in Salt Lake City. - Mr. and Mrs. George A. Brown of Alpine announce the marriage of their daughter, Lavonne, to Mr. Dell Carroll, on Tuesday, October 1. The marriage took place at the home of the bride's parents in Alpine Al-pine in the presence of members of the immediate family and a few close friends, Bishop Edward W. Burgess officiating. The bride wore a. blue ensemble and carried a corsage of white rosebuds. rose-buds. Miss Af ton Muir of Salt Lake City acted as bridesmaid. She carried a bouquet of yellow rosebuds. Junius Jun-ius Hawkins was best man. Ada May Wilde and Mary Alice Mon-son Mon-son were flower girls. They carried car-ried baskets of pink and white chrysanthemums. The bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Annie Springer, wore a navy blue dress with a bouquet of rosebuds. Mrs. Brown wore pink with a pink bouquet. During the evening music was furnished by Mrs. Estella Strong and i Miss Linda Johnson. Immediately ! following the ceremony a buffet i supper was served to twenty-five I guests.
