A program, chil-dren's chil-dren's parade and carnival events t i will be the main features of the eve- , ning. refreshments will be sold. I Each child of the ward is expected to come in costume or furnish a : float. Every member of the ward is invited to be in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Hall and Mr. and Mrs. MelRoy Graham motored to Sanpete county last week-end. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Oldroyd and Mr. and Mrs. William Graham of Fairview, and Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Sykes and family fam-ily of Mt. Pleasant. The ward Relief society met Wednesday Wed-nesday at 10 o'clock. Two quilts were done and a pot-luck lunch was served to a large group of Relief society members. Among those who called on Mrs. Frederica Strasburg Sunday were Mrs. Dora Henderson and family of Salt Lake City. Miss Julia Healey returned with Mrs. Henderson for a visit. MelRoy Graham, who was accidentally acci-dentally shot through the foot a few days ago, is recovering nicely. Highland Ward Primary Homecoming Home-coming will be held October 4, 1940 at 7:30. Everyone is invited. There will be fun for all. The Primary Presidency of the Highland ward wish to thank all the business houses in American Fork who donated so generously to make our homecoming a success. Mrs. R. Dimick of Price is spending spend-ing a few weeks here visiting with her children, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Dimick, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dimick and Mrs. Lucille Bird. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Stice left for Detroit last Saturday to combine business with pleasure. Mr. L. Maurice Larson of Fielding, Field-ing, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. Larson of Highland, entered three prize Holsteins in the state fair on which he won 5 ribbons. " |
