Show Utah County Tentative Budget Set Utah county commssioners have ations proposing an expenditure of taken under consideration a tentative ten-tative budget for next year's opera-$488,372.40, opera-$488,372.40, according to Sylvan Clark. At this figure, the budget based on requests from the department heads is $16,090.55 higher than this year's budget of $473,218.85. A public hearing on the budget will be set after the members of the board have completed its study and made necessary adjustments, Mr. Clark said. The proposed general fund budget total $186,776.40 compared with $179,475.85 this year. Increased cost of supplies, contemplated expenditures ex-penditures for wartime activities, such as civilian defense and increased in-creased salaries, explain the budget increase. The highways fund under -the tentative budget is set at $80,000, the same as this year. Proposed budgets for other funds compared with 1942, are as follows, the 1943 figures being listed first each time: Exhibition and advertising, adver-tising, $6450, $7000; public welfare, $144,000, $140000; poor and indigent, $26,000, $28,000; hospital and infirmary, in-firmary, $29,000, $22,710; weed fund, $15,000, $15,0000; memorials, $896, $896. Estimated reveune for 1943 totals less than the tentative budget calls for. |
