Show FUNERAL HELD SUNDAY FOR BLAINE TURNER Funeral services were held Sunday Sun-day afternoon at 2 p. m. in the Third Ward Chapel for Isaac Blaine Turner, 21, who died last Thursday evening at an American Forw dance hall of an acute heart attack. The impressive services began at 2 o'clock under the direction of the Third Ward Bishopric, with Bishop J. C. Walker in charge. The opening number was a vocal solo, "Face To Face" by Mrs. Marie Mar-ie Brown accompanied by Mrs. Mary Neves. Invocation was asked by Merrill N. Warnick. Speakers who paid tributte to the departed and ofrered words of faith and encouragement to the bereaved family were Bishop H. V. Swenson of Manila Ward; Timpan-ogos Timpan-ogos Stake President W. W. War-nick War-nick and Bishop Walker. Other musical numbers were: a vocal duet "Evening Prayer" by Mrs. Avis F. West and Mrs. Neil Fugal and two instrumental numbers: num-bers: "O My Father'' and "One Sweetly Solemn Thought" played by a' string trio: Miss Romona Monson, Miss Winona Monson and Miss Carol Clark. Benediction was pronounced by L. M. Atwood and the grave in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery was dedicated de-dicated by Clarence J. Hilton. He was born July 12, 1921, at Lehi, Utah, ,a son of Isaac and Arema Matthews Turner and spent most of his life in Virgin, Utah. He attended grade and high school at Hurricane, and moved to Pleasant Pleas-ant Gove about six months ago. He leaves his parents, and the following brother and sisters, Carrol, Car-rol, Joann, Leo, Bill and Clyde, all of Pleasant Grove and two grandmothers: grand-mothers: Mrs. Hetty Matthews of Pleasant Grove nd Mrs. Sarah Turner Tur-ner of Lehi. |
