Show v ii , n - -rn i ! ; I RELIEF SOCIETY CONFERENCE LAST SUNDAY All wards in the Timpanogos Stake held their Relief Society Conferences last Sunday evening. In the Third ward, the addresss of welcome and the year report was given iby President Delilah Fugal: Work and business reports were made by CounsellorViola Fugal. Second counsellor Priscilla Christiansen Christ-iansen gave the outline of the year busines while a talk on music appreciation ap-preciation was given by Mrs. Mary Neves of the Stake Board. Short talks were given by High Councilman Albert Anderson and Bishop J. S. Walker. Special music was furnished by theSinging Mothers, also a duet by Avis West and Louise Neilson. Invocation was asked by Pearl Bartain and the benediction pronounced pro-nounced by Margaret Shoell. At the Second Ward Relief Society Soc-iety Conference last Sunday night, time was taken out to do honor to two young men of the ward who have entered the armed forces recently. re-cently. Thomas Williams, husband of Nell Stagg Williams, now stationed stat-ioned at Medford, Oregon, and Jack Conway, who having enlisted in the United States Marines, left for San Diego, on November 3. Miss Estelle Fenton gave the tribute in behalf of the boys. The Conference was presided over by President Zella Peay, who gave j the welcome talk. Counsellor Hannah Han-nah Halliday was the second speaker. speak-er. Counselor Laura Robertson reported re-ported on the educational program of the Relief Society while Mrs. Fern Hicks talked on the work and buslnesss of the Relief Society. Presentation and sustaining of officers was conducted by Secretary Secre-tary Birdie Gray, after which Aims and Objections of the Relief Society Soc-iety was discussed by Mrs. Deane Poulson of the Stake Board. Closing remarks were made by Bishop C. R. Clark. Special music was furnished by the Singing Mothers Moth-ers of the ward directed by Rhoda Clark and accompanied by Sarah Clark. The opening was given by Hattie Richards and Mrs. Lucinda Pierce pronounced the benediction. ! Mrs. Donna O. Ash was the oest speaker at the Lindon Ward Relief Society Confernece last Sunday eevning. SDecial musical numbers were sung by Mrs. Mary R. Walker. |
