Show Girls Injured at Mutual Dell Last Friday evening at Mutual Dell in American Fork canyon, while the young people of the Highland ward were out on the grounds indulging in-dulging in games of various kinds, an accident occured. Miss Jean Roundy and Miss Dorothy Myers who were playing with a group collided col-lided head on with such force as to render both unconscious. Miss Roundy was the more severely injured in-jured of the two. It happened that at the time the accident occured I there were none of the men of the j Highland ward with cars on the grounds and Russell Bate of Alpine who was camping nearby with his family came down to American Fork for a physician. Dr. V. F. Houston went up to the Dell immediately and gave the girls medical attention. Miss Roundy suffered a meningeal hemorrhage and the women who attended her were greatly concerned the first night. She lapsed into un-consciousness un-consciousness for a second time during dur-ing the night but by morning had rallied and was much improved. She jwaa taken to her home Saturday af-jteincon. af-jteincon. Miss Roundy resides in j Manila but was formerly a member of the Manila ward as was Miss Myers, My-ers, who now lives in Salt Lake. Aside from this accident, the Highland ward had a very enjoyable enjoy-able stay at the Dell. They report a registration of fifty-five for the four days' stay with increased attendance at-tendance for programs and others camping on the grounds. |
