Show Final Respects Paid Aged Pioneer Mother Funeral services were held Thursday Thurs-day for Mrs. Mary Christiansen in the Timpancgos stake tabernacle with W. W. Lim of the Third ward bishopric conducting. The stake Relief Society chorus rendered the opening song, "Come, Come Ye Saints" after which the invocation was offered by J. P. Fugal. The song "Unanswered Yet" was then sung by the chorus. A pioneer sketch of the life cf Mrs. Christiansen Christian-sen was given by a granddaughter, Mildred Christiansen. Mrs. Minnie Anderson spoke of Sister Christiansen's Christian-sen's work in the Relief Society and of her splendid and willing spirit of helpfulness. Niels Fugal, a. life long neighbor of Mrs. Christiansen, was the next speaker. A trio "Dear to the Heart of the Shepherd" was sung by Mrs. Reva Fugal, Mi's. Lavona Jensen and Mrs. Martha Jones. S. L. Swenson and Wilford W. Wamick were the next speakers. Bishop F. D. Atwood made closing remarks after which "Going Home" was beautifully rendered by Mrs. May R. Walker. The benediction was pronounced by Albert Anderson and Edmund Cragun dedicated the grave. Among the out of town people who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Soren Mork, Eldon and Van Mork, Orem; Mr. and Mrs. Alex Long, Springville; Mrs. Cleone Bowes Mr. and Mrs. Jack Session, Mrs. Mary Session and Mrs. Camilla oi-green, oi-green, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Verda' Newman, Bingham; Mr. and Mrs. Preston Gray, Lehi; Mrs. Roena Sandberg, Park City, and Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Heiselt and two daughters, daugh-ters, Provo. |
