Show j Pleasant Grove Locals j j Mrs. V. H. Barney is visiting in-, in-, definitely with her married children in Carbon county. Dr. and Mrs. C. O. Jensen and family left by -motor Sunday for a trip through Yellowstone Park. Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Janes, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Clark and Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Fugal were among the dancing danc-ing throng at the Old Mill in Salt jL-ake City on July 24th. Mr. and Mrs. James D. Thome, Mrs. Ethel Drysdale and Thomas ! Fenton enjoyed the program at As-pen As-pen Grove Friday prevous to the l annual Timpanogos hike. ! Mr. and Mrs. Emery Buhler are proud parents of a fine baby boy, born Friday, July 20th. Mrs. Buhler and the little son are at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Ash, in Lindon where the grandmother grand-mother may aid in the baby's care. Miss Emily Wright returned Wednesday Wed-nesday from Denver, Colorado. She; left June 30th for a trip with friends j to the Black Hills of South Dakota! and has been visiting and sight see-1 ing since that date with friends in Colorado. The Triple S 4-H Sewing club members held their regular class work at the home of Veda Pack Thursday afternoon. After work a dainty lunch was served. On Wednesday Wed-nesday evening the group enjoyed a. j trip to Saratoga. Miis Tern Widk'.iT of Salt Lake City, una Miss Nc:a Penny of Los Angeles, are visiting with Miss La-Prea La-Prea Barney this week. Joseph H. Adams and daughter, I.tr:. Roena Adams Clark, left Mon-c'o.ty Mon-c'o.ty with Mr. and Mrs. Robbins for Alt .n, Wyoming, for a ten days' visit. When Mrs. Clark returns she will take charge of the Orem station. Mrs. Clark has carried this work forward for-ward during the illness of her hus-( hus-( band, and has been in charge when the company called Mr. Clark to act . as relief agent at other stations j along the line. She is capable and ; a willing servant for the public. jPleatant Grove should stand back of I Mrs. Clark and she will give them j the best of service. i i Jean Smith cf Pleasant Grove ; achieved the spring quarter honor roll for the junior college division at jBrigham Young university, according to Registrar John E. Hayes, who has just compiled the ratings. Seven towns in the three states of Arizona, Nevada and Utah were represented rep-resented among the 12 students who achieved the honor roll for the spring quarter. Besides Pleasant Grove the towns were Provo, Spanish Fork, Grantsville, -and Salina, Utah, Cal-iente, Cal-iente, Nevada, and Snowflake, Arizona. Ari-zona. Gaining a place on the honor roll at B. Y. U. is a distinct honor, it is pointed out by Registrar Hayes, because be-cause only 12 students are selected out of the student body whose total registration last year passed 2,000. |
