Show j Ten Years Ago Now (Taken from files of July 26, 1924) Ten Years Ago Now Following the withdrawal of the opposition to the proposed, reclamation reclama-tion project from a meeting held at the city hall Wednesday night, the balance of the assembly discussed the proposition and concluded it was a real opportunity for this section. The proposition, briefly, embraces the building of a reservoir at the head of Provo canyon, constructing a canal to bring water from the Weber river to the reservoir, bringing bring-ing the water down the Provo river thence by canal to the east and north to the towns in the north end of Utah county, around the Point of the Mountain and into Salt Lake county. The new road built from the American Leasing Company Mine to the Pacific High Line is nearly completed and ore shipments from the Mary Ellen Gulch Mines will come fast now. A total value of $1,585,784 has been placed upon American Fork City property by the assessor for 1924, which is $280 high- - er than 1923.
