Show D.U.P. Meeting Held Here The Adams Camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, met on the First ward chapel lawns Thursday, July 19th, with Captain Elizabeth McAllister Mc-Allister presiding and Mrs. Ada Baker in charge. Following the singing of "America" prayer was offered toy the Chaplain, Elizabeth C. Ovard. The meeting at this point was turned over to Mrs. Hannah Ayde-lotte Ayde-lotte and the following program was given: Captain MsAllister made a few remarks in which she stated that the purpose of the meeting was to present the state flag of Utah to the Adams Camp; singling "Utah, the Star of the West"; First organization of the Daughters of the Pionesrs in American Fork given by Mrs. Myrtle Seastrand; solo, "Sego Lily," Miss Vivian Lee, accompanied by Miss Helen Devey; presentation of the flag to tlr camp, Mrs. June Wright; acceptance of the flag, Mrs. Elizabeth McAllister; McAllis-ter; "History of the State Flag," Mrs. Laura Timpson; two original poems, "Our Flag" and "To Our Pioneers," Meaiing D. Clyde; solo, "Flag Without a Stain," Miss Vivian Lee, accompanied by Miss Devey; benediction, (Chaplain Elizabeth C. Ovard. After the meeting dainty refreshments refresh-ments were served to all. There were present twenty-two members and seven visitors. |
