Show I Lions Ladies Night ! Social Next Thursday To Be Big Affair HALLOWE'EN PARTY PLANNED. SPLENDID POOGRAM FEATURING FEATUR-ING PROMINENT SPEAKERS AND i "TABBY AND BUN." VENISON SUFPER. The outstanding event of (he Hallowe'en Hallo-we'en .social season is planned for next Thursday evening, October 31, by the Lion, Club members for then-ladies. then-ladies. The affair which is to lie given in the Alpine Stake Tabernacle amusement hall, is scheduled to com-menee com-menee at 7 o'clock with a big venison banquet. The other activties for the evening will include a splendid program pro-gram with several featured speakers, games, Hollow'en stunts and dancing. The dinner, which will be a feature fea-ture of the evening, will -be cooked and served by the Fourth Ward Relief Re-lief Society. The venison for the menu will be the compliments of Lion President G. S. Richards, Frank Humphries and A. F. Gaisford. The "Senator from Sandpit County," satirist of local fame whose articles appear in the Salt Lake Tribune Tri-bune and who is a frequent speaker over the radio will be one of the speakers on the program. Other numbers will inclule musical entertainment enter-tainment from "Tabby and Bun," a reading by Mrs. Walter Devey, Jr., and Hallowe'en stunts. Dancing to the Americans will conclude con-clude the evening's entertainment following the banquet and program. The hall .will he decorated in hallowe'en style, the motifs Uiied all being suggestive of this occasion. The party favors will also be carried out in the same idea. Lion C. A. Grant and Tailtwister "Hap" Holmstead are in charge of the stunts; S. T. Shelley and Sanford Walker the dinner; and Frank Humphries Hum-phries and Harry Steele the program. |
