Show Pioneer Grove To Dc Beautified By City nut Service Station. It -was decided to prohibit the operation of the machine ma-chine unless license was paid up by October 2S. o At the regular session of the city council held Saturday, October 19, much important business was discussed, dis-cussed, hut outstanding were the reports re-ports made on the beautification plans for Pioneer Grove. Chairman Moore of City Property, reported that he had had Pioneer Grove worked over again with a springtooth harrow preparatory to seeding to grass and also that blue prints of the cemetery plot had been made and delivered to the recorder. Chairman Moore also reported that arrangements had been made to have the Porter Walton Landscape gardner on the ground Monday morning to make preliminary plans for plotting of Pioneer Grove. Arrangements Ar-rangements for the hauling of soil to Pioneer Grove was left with Chairman Moore and the Chamber of Commerce. Removal of certain trees on the park was left with the City Property committee with power to act. Relative to the brush on the street adjoining the Howard Driggs property and near Albert Olsen's property, a motion was made that the road superintendent be , instructed instruct-ed to have the same cleared away. The recorder was instructed to write Mr- Charles Wartl of Provo regarding the clogged culvert condi. tion near his property, asking that he have the same taken care of at once. The money paid in for the perpetual perpet-ual maintenance at the cemetery was ordered placed on savings account. The petition of the Utah Power & Light Co. to be allowed to fall and pile trees on the side of the street east of the H. W. Jacobs; residence, fas granted. Chairman Linebaugh. of License and Finance reported that the Yellowstone Yel-lowstone Specialty Co. had failed to pay their license for operating a Mint Vending machine at the Wal- |
