Show political Parties Select Two Complete Tickets have institued and maintained a reg-: ular bacteriological test of the city culinary water supply to safeguard the health of our community. They have united with the people in the city beautification program and point with pride to the condition of our streets in regard to cleanliness cleanli-ness and freedom from weeds and rubbish. Have in cooperation with Utah county graded and surfaced with fine crushed gravel about 20 blocks of City Streets, also graded and surfaced with gravel several miles of our streets also added several seve-ral blocks to the sprinkling district. We also note the present conditions condi-tions of our City Cemetery where many new improvements have been made; having planted hardwood trees, purchased and increased water supply, brought into use con siderable waste ground by the leveling level-ing of the hillside, have provided a new entrance at a considerable cost and have had all property surveyed and replotted and a new map of the entire Cemetery mafte; have built a Soldiers Memorial stand with bronze tablet at the cemetery which will stand forever, a silent tribute to our soldiers who answered their Country's Coun-try's call- They have maintained municipal band concerts, of which have added very materially to the recreation and enjoyment, not only of our own citizens, but of many from our neighboring communities. Have purchased pur-chased and paid for a modern Fire Truck at a. cost of $7,500.00 and built and furnished a modern Fire Station together with Public Comfort Com-fort Stations at a cost of $6,000.00. In keeping with their pledges have installed many new fire hydrants and have taken every precaution to safeguard property from a standpoint stand-point of fire protection. We 'point with pride to the efficiency efficien-cy of our Police Department. They have shown considerable activity, especially in the enforcement of our traffic ordinances and regulations and in the enforcement of the new estray pound ordinance, thereby guaranteeing the continuance of our beautification program. We commend them for their activity ac-tivity and support in their efforts to have the State Training School locat ed in this vicinity, and for their efforts in trying to hold for the future fu-ture culinary water supply of our City, valuable springs in American Fork canyon. We especially commend them for their financial policy of paying as we go and maintaining their sinking sink-ing fund in strict compliance with the law. The result of this policy can readily be seen in a comparison of the bonded indebtedness of our City. On January 1, 1923 the City bonded indebtedness was $43,000.00 October 21, 1929 our bonded indebtedness indebt-edness has been reduced to $10,000.-00 $10,000.-00 of which amount the City now has $7,000.00 toward payment, making a total now due of $3,000.00 or a reduction re-duction of $40,000.00. In two years a continuance of this policy will put our City on a cash basis, a condition which few cities can boast. All this and much more has been accomplished accomplish-ed as well as carrying on the necessary neces-sary expense of the City without any increase of taxation. As a matter of fact our rate of taxation for City purposes is lower than any other city in the county. . We pledge our candidates, if elected, elect-ed, to a continuance of an economical, economi-cal, yet progressive administration of the City affairs and respectfully ask the support of the citizens for our ticket.
