Show Diphtheria Toidn-Antftoxm Campagin Starts 1,1'cnday Diphtheria is an enemy of happy carefree childhood. It is essentially a children's disease, picking its victims vic-tims chicl'ly during childhood and to a less extent in early adult life. It is always a serious disease and not uncommonly a fatal one. It frequently frequent-ly kills, maims or cripples its victims, vic-tims, chiefly, young children. In 1913 toxin-antitoxin was first given in New York and now it is safely given throughout the world. New York hopes to have no diphtheria diph-theria in 1930. Utah county has the largest piece of immunization work west of the Mississippi River. This is our fourth campaign and today more than one-third of the entire population of Utah county have had this protection. Is your child safe? Small pox was once the most deadly disease in the world and again would be if vaccination were stopped. Old methods of vaccination vaccina-tion were crude, now they are very carefully and scientiffically done with a very small scar and a protected pro-tected child as the result. Toxin-antitoxin and small pox vaccination can safely be given at the same time. As soon as the child is horn it is old enough to receive small pox protection pro-tection and as soon as it is 6 months old should have the diphtheria protection pro-tection given. Every child needs this protection-How protection-How many of your children are pro. tected? It is given to the children by your county and School Board free of cost.
