Show Clark-Taylor Marriage The marriage of Miss Eva Mildred Clark and Leon Southwick Taylor took place Wednesday in the Salt Lake Temple. That evening a reception re-ception in honor of the young couple was given at the home of the bride's brother-in-law and sister, Dr. and Mrs. O. E. Gniii, at Pleasant Grove. Large jardinieres filled with white syringa and pink peonies in the living liv-ing room made an attractive setting for the bridal party, while yellow roses were used as a decoration in the other rooms. The bride wore a lovely painted model in pink georgette and her long tulle veil was arranged in cap effect with pearls and orange blossoms. blos-soms. She carried a shower of pink roses and white sweet .peas. Miss Arvilla Clark, maid of honor, was frocked in a "Lonffont model of pale yellow taffeta and carried orchid sweet peas, Mrs. V. E. Baxter, matron of honor, wore a gown of melow colored georgette trimmed with lace and carried deep orange sweet peas. Mrs. Ernest Mateon of Salt Lake, attending matron, wore a pale orchid crepe ,silk gown trimmed in lace and carried roses and sweet peas. The little flower girls, Elaine Taylor, Qarol Clark land Mary Grua, wore dainty summer frocks and carried tiny crystal baskets filled fill-ed with daisies, buttercups and blue cornflowers. Wayne Taylor, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Musical program during the evening even-ing consisted of piano and violin numbers by Misses 'Melba and Blanche Clark of-Salt Lake, vocal trios by Mrs. T. H. Heal, Mrs. Wm. Frisby and Mrs. Sam Parks of Provo, and a vocal solo by Harold Clark. Assisting the bridal party dn receiving re-ceiving were: Dr. and Mrs. O. E. Grua, Mrs. B. L. Allyn of Salt Lake, and Mrs. Frank Purdy of Washington, Washing-ton, D. C In charge of the gift room and assisting in serving were the Misses Suzanne Grua, Helen Ward, June Beers and Mary Peay. The guest list included one hum dred relatives and close friends, and a pleasant surprise of the evening was the arrival of the bride's brother and sister, Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Clark, and daughters o,f San Jose, California. The honored young couple will he at home to their friends at the Oak-wood Oak-wood apartments, 6th South and 5th East, Salt Lake City. |
